The terms and conditions governing your use of our website and our outsourced PMO, fractional project management and PMO setup services.
By using our website, engaging our services or entering into any agreement with The PM Office, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all services provided by The PM Office, including outsourced PMO, fractional project management, PMO setup and design, and consultancy engagements.
The PM Office provides:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or withdraw any service at any time. Where we make material changes to an active engagement, we will provide reasonable notice.
Engagements are confirmed upon execution of a Statement of Work (SOW) or equivalent written agreement, and receipt of any deposit or advance payment specified therein. Receipt of an enquiry or discovery call does not constitute a confirmed engagement.
All fees are stated in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be added where applicable at the prevailing rate. Fees are subject to change — the fees applicable to your engagement are those confirmed in your SOW or agreement.
Payment is due in accordance with the terms set out in the relevant SOW or invoice. Standard payment terms are 14 days from date of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Note: We accept payment by bank transfer. Full payment details will be provided on your invoice. Please quote your invoice reference when making payment.
Either party may terminate an engagement by providing written notice as specified in the relevant SOW. In the absence of a specified notice period, 30 days' written notice is required. Fees for work completed or committed prior to the termination date remain payable in full.
| Notice given | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| More than 28 days before start | Deposit only (non-refundable) |
| 14–28 days before start | 50% of total engagement fee |
| Less than 14 days before start | 100% of total engagement fee |
In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil a confirmed engagement, we will provide as much notice as possible and will refund any fees paid in respect of work not yet commenced. We are not liable for consequential losses arising from such a cancellation.
The PM Office operates to the professional standards expected of senior project management practitioners. All work is carried out in accordance with recognised methodologies including PRINCE2, PMI and Agile frameworks as appropriate to each engagement.
We expect all client contacts to engage with our team professionally and respectfully. We reserve the right to terminate an engagement where the conduct of client representatives makes it unreasonable to continue, subject to appropriate notice.
Any materials, documents, processes or methodologies shared with the client are provided for the purposes of the engagement only and should be treated as confidential where indicated.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, intellectual property rights in all methodologies, frameworks, templates and proprietary tools developed by or belonging to The PM Office prior to or independently of an engagement remain the property of The PM Office.
Deliverables created specifically for a client engagement (such as project plans, governance frameworks and reports) will be owned by the client upon receipt of full payment for those deliverables.

Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory rights are not affected.
